Future-Not getting groceries anymore
My next big upgrade, though the parts themselves are not large at all, will be a Jim Wolf Tech ECU upgrade. But it's not like I don't have an entire plan in mind. There is just not enough money coming in, no matter how much I work. But that is the way the cookie crumbles. After the ECU upgrade I want to do some small things like a paint job and a little dress up. I am not really a flashy dress-up kind of guy but I would love to do some things like some carbon fiber work and I surely want to get an air guide for the rad.
My rear seat delete was simple and painless. But it's as simple as can be seeing as it's a few bolts that you have to remove. But that's made easy becasue you can let the back of the seat down and reach the brackets. Not getting groceries in Jenny anymore. The lower portion of the seats are east to get rid of too. The funny thing was that when my fiancee and I were stuffed in the back seat together, ripping crap out of the 300, we were taking the seatbelt mechanisms out and in very large letters they read DO NOT REMOVE. I dunno, I guess I am a dork because that was funny to me.
Weight, weight, weight. I want to shave off weight. Getting the headers I am planning on getting will help with that. I want to get a hanging scale so I can measure some of the parts as I remove them so that I can compare them to aftermarket parts. I would like to get a new driveshaft as well. First, when it comes to weight, for me, is the headers. Andy's has a set of Megan Racing Headers for $270 or something. I stay away from cheap parts the best that I can. I've found headers for 170 and even $150 but I am holding up a cross and garlic in their direction. If I wanted cheap I would go to Ebay. I could get a Stillen set of headers but they are nearly 700 dollars and I like Megan a little more. After some more power and dress up I will get a larger brake kit with six pistons and stainless steel lines, some Tien coilovers and adjustable upper arms and tension rods. I wanna be track worthy. I don't want to carry Wal-Mart bags anymore.
