Genesis Coupe; More of a Pheonix effect?
A 3.8 Litre speedster out of Korea? Japan had better wake up. Okay, so the Tiburon was a thorn in the side of a veeeery unlucky car God we all praise. GReddy got on-board with the Genesis, as did MODE Racing. That is a tad bit of redemption. GenRacer used one for Time Attack. But, where my point rests is within Rhys Millen using sporting a Red Bull Gen Coupe with stock internals and doing quite well. Is this baby a wake-up call? Will the re-modeled Tibby be worth a damn this go-round? Will time tell? It will have to. So, you look at the G37, even the S model. The Gen Coupe puts up reasonable numbers in comparison. Also, you're shaving off ten grand in purchasing the Gen. Coupe. You can still look into the 350z and 370z, which, in my opinion, are shoved to the side by the 300zx from the early 90s... What happened there? Honda is not putting up anything to mention. The S2k is gone. Toyota has a line-up of Scions for you all... Screw that. Where are the big guns? I'm not going to go into a European discussion. We'll leave Porsche and the others out of this. So, where can you find an affordable car under whose hood you can actually crawl and tinker? Look into the 90s? I would say so. Pick up an old 240sx or a 300zx. If you're lucky, grab a RX-7 with 20k. Speaking of, that leads me over to the RX-8 which pales in comparison to its predecessor. You can be just as lucky as you'd be with that Rotary as you would picking up a Supra or older Celica. A few FF lay-outs like the Prelude or Integra R but come on... You can choose from some Mitsus. A 3000gt or an older Eclipse, as the newer gens. suck. And not just air for a mixture with fuel. Tuners are being forgotten. But we are not forgetting the cars that made us who and what we are. I think the Genesis will be a nice breath of fresh air. Honda, Nissan and Toyota better step it up a few paces.

Carbon fiber hood? Nice touch. Maybe the lines do nothing new. But if it ain't broken, don't fix it.
